How this tool works

The Pesticide Product Lookup uses a two-tier model:

• ThoughtfulMom-reviewed products have curated study summaries written by our research team. These include relevant epidemiological and toxicological studies with plain-language findings and noted limitations.
• Unreviewed products show live EPA registration data only (product identity, active ingredients, signal word, and agency list cross-checks). No study summaries are displayed until a product has been reviewed.

Data sources include the EPA Pesticide Product Label System (PPLS), California Proposition 65, the WHO IARC carcinogen classifications, and the EU ECHA Substances of Very High Concern list.

Independence statement: ThoughtfulMom does not accept payment from pesticide manufacturers. Product listings are generated from public EPA data. Study selection for reviewed products is based on relevance and study quality, not commercial interest.
